Speaking of “out of left field…”

Jim Jones has had long-simmering issues with JAY Z, going all the way back to when Jimmy (alongside Cam’ron, Juelz Santana and the rest of The Diplomats) was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records (following Jay and Dame Dash’s acrimonious split in 2004, Jim would side with Cam and his longtime friend Dame), so much so that it seemed as if the two would never patch things up.

Well, never say never: taking to his Instagram account yesterday (Feb. 7th), Jim would reveal that he has signed to a new label: JAY Z’s own Roc Nation, thus ending their 13-year beef.

It's a done deal… Jim Jones/Roc Nation. #rocnation #vamplife

TMZ — bastion of all things hip hop — reported that Jim’s reason for ending his conflict with Shawn was simple: to show “other rappers it’s possible to cut through the drama, and just make smart business decisions”

Now, how about those problems Jim ironically now has with Cam’ron? Hopefully those will get solved too.
