We’ve been waiting two years for this.

Since arriving at the DopeHouse with “Classic Man” back in 2015, we’ve been championing Janelle Monáe’s protégé, Jidenna. Equally adept at singing and rapping, the Wondaland artist is able to drop knowledge as quickly as he can drop a hit song.

Now, finally, Jidenna has released his long-in-the-works debut album, Long Live The Chief.

Anchored by the singles “Little Bit More,” “Chief Don’t Run,” “The Let Out” and “Bambi,” the 14-track release features Janelle, Quavo and other members of the Wondaland stable. And based off the tracklist alone, something tells me track 13 may have some folks up in arms before they even press play on it.
