With a career spanning nearly 30 years, DJ Battlecat is another shining example of a living legend, having produced and remixed songs for the likes of 2Pac, Domino, Dru Down, Ras Kass, E-40, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and more.
In just a few months, the Long Beach veteran will release a new album, Turntable Journalism and provides the project’s first leak, “I’m From California” featuring Mykestro and 2Dice and an interpolation of Toto’s “Africa.”
“It’s time right now. I had a spiritual tug-of-war making this album. The event of the music industry changing and longing for the music with a message has me inspired and moving forward to completing this musical masterpiece. My fans can expect that classic Battlecat signature with a broad musical touch to it this time around,” reveals the seasoned producer/DJ.
