Future’s ‘HNDRXX’ Tops Charts, Scores Back To Back No. 1 Albums

With talk of Future releasing another pair of albums later this year (according to Questlove), the Atlanta rapper has cause to celebrate—making history as the first artist to score back-to-back Number One albums in successive weeks for both FUTURE and HNDRXX.

A week after Futche’s self-titled album shot to the top slot (moving 140k units in its first week),  the companion piece HNDRXX has done the same—leaving FUTURE at number two—becoming the rapper’s fifth overall number one album.

“Future is the first act in the nearly 61-year history of the chart to achieve back-to-back No. 1 debuts in successive weeks,” reports Billboard. “The rapper is also the first artist to succeed himself at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 at all (counting not only debuts) since 1968. He’s additionally the first soloist ever to claim the honor.”

According to HDD, HNDRXX has moved 117,332 units which include both sales and streams, with his singles “Mask Off” and “Coming Out Strong” sit at number 5 and 7 respectively on streaming songs chart.
