Frank Ocean had some big shoes to fill following the inaugural episode of his blonded RADIO on Beats 1, where he sat down for an in-depth conversation with JAY Z last month.
After weeks of the sort of silence we’re accustomed to from the multiple-award-winning artist, Beats 1 Radio surprised fans with an announcement that episode two would air Friday evening (March 10th), with rumors swirling that new music was also on the way.
Sure enough, Frank delivered in stylistic fashion, premiering a brand new song titled “Chanel” which reportedly played back-to-back for nearly an hour — and thrown in to the mix somewhere was a remix featuring A$AP Rocky which was played twice, throwing most listeners off.
“Chanel” — which follows on the heels of his recent albums blonde and Endless as well as his collaboration with Calvin Harris and Migos on “Slide” — can be heard below.
