Following Statik Selektah’s 2Dope session, Funk Flex invites Scram Jones to take part in his “5 Minutes Of Funk” series.

The producer-on-the-mic gets busy on the turntables, focused heavily on samples, blending the old (Big Daddy Kane’s “Ain’t No Half Steppin’,” New Edition’s “Once In A Lifetime Groove,” Public Enemy’s “Welcome To The Terrordome”) with the recent (Big Sean’s “IDFWU,” Future’s “Wicked,” YG and Nipsey Hussle’s “FDT“), while expertly showing off the skills that landed him slots deejaying for the likes of Kool G Rap, Saigon and Eminem.
