DMV making moves.

Ever since Chaz French made his DopeHouse debut in 2014, we’ve been rallying behind the DMV native—following and supporting his every move.

His Happy Belated EP still gets spins. As does his These Things Take Time mixtape from 2015. And now, the D.C. native is ready to take the next step in his musical journey.

Today, Chaz announced his new joint deal between his ThreeSixEight imprint and Motown Records (the same label who scooped up Migos last month).

“I’m happy for my label ThreeSixEight and I love my new Motown family,” French told Billboard. “I’m super excited to represent the DMV. It’s not just about me, it’s about all of us!”

Along with the announcement, Chaz French also released a new song called “Way Out.” The first taste of his forthcoming major label debut, the track showcases French’s lyrical ability as he vigorously confronts his past transgressions, boasts his future successes and reflects on the loyalty of those closest to him.
