Around this time last year, Questlove released a new book all about food called something to food about: Exploring Creativity with America’s most Innovative Chefs. Questlove — one of the most creative musicians of the last two decades — used the book to interview chefs on their creative process of making food, comparing it to musicians’ process. The book was written alongside Bob Greenman.
Yesterday, though, 11 months after the book finally dropped, it was announced the book was nominated for James Beard Foundation Book Award for Nonfiction, a prestigious award for nonfiction books about food.
“Wow man, who knew being a fly on the wall watching others work and gathering life notes would lead to this,” The Roots co-founder wondered in an Instagram post. Congrats to the evergrowing wonder that is Questlove.
