After a five-year hiatus, Pac Div will finally return in 2017!

Pac Div — the trio of LIKE, BeYoung and Mibbs — last dropped an album in 2012, GMB. Since then each member has dropped solo projects, with LIKE going on to grab GRAMMY nods for his works on Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city and Anderson .Paak’s Malibu. The trio briefly reunited in 2015 for a pair of songs (“Sun Down (Girls Night Out)” and Roll The Dice“), as well as a few concerts, but nothing has come from them since.

However, a few weeks ago LIKE left the following tweet, essentially announcing the group’s impending return:

Speaking to DJBooth, he confirmed that in fact the trio has reunited and have finished working on a new project that is slated to release sometime in 2017.

“It’s done, it’s about to come out. We’re thinking spring time. We got some heaters on there. We got myself on production, we got DJ Dahi, we got Swiff D, we had KAYTRANADA, but we’re gonna save that for another project, and we got esta. from Soulection. It’s called First Baptist. It’s 10 cuts on there and we’re gonna give away a song, too. Man, we’re excited. There’s a lot of high energy songs. It’s like we never left.”

After a half-decade away, it finally appears that “your favorite’s favorites” are indeed coming back. Until then, fans can catch LIKE on Joey Bada$$’ All-AmeriKKKan Bada$$, as he produced the track “Babylon.”
