The now-independent Azizi Gibson is releasing an album, Memoirs of the Reaper, later this year. If the artworks for his last couple singles (“Levels” and “Nintendo King” both feature some sort of reaper-like figure) are any indication for what will land on the project, his latest — “High” — is the third song from the upcoming project.
Gibson said “High” is one of his favorite songs he’s ever made. The production, provided by Kamandi, is bleak and skeletal as the former Brainfeeder signee raps about trust issues rampant in his life.
There’s no release date for Memoirs of the Reaper yet, but listen to “High” below in the meantime.
