Fourteen years after releasing his seminal debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, 50 Cent, in partnership with Respect the Classics/UMG has released his first ever Best Of compilation. Considering his fairly deep discography, it’s a little bugged out that it took this long, but alas, it’s here.
With the possibility that Street King Immortal just might be his last piece of recorded music, this new collection of greatest hits couldn’t have arrived at a better time.
Spread across 18-tracks, the compilation collects some of his biggest songs from albums which include The Massacre, the In Too Deep soundtrack, Curtis, Before I Self Destruct and his aforementioned debut. Of course, we’d be lying to ourselves if we said we were content with the choices the label went with, but then again, this is a greatest hits anthology.
