It’s been a six months since Kairi Chanel dropped, but don’t think Dave East has been taking it easy.
In fact, the Harlem rapper has been doing the complete opposite. Not only has he dropped a few bangers, killed a few guest verses and remixed a couple hit songs, the Harlem rapper also says he’s got 40 or so songs recorded for his next project.
Before the highly-anticipated follow-up arrives, though, East is keeping KC bumpin’ with a video for “The Real Is Back” with Beanie Sigel.
“That was like a dream come true for me because Sigel is one of my top three favorite rappers of all time. I grew up on Beans,” East told Noisey. “Just to be able to be in the same room. He gave me a lot of game that night. We both Muslim so that was another level of respect. It was beautiful man. That whole thing let me know I’m still on pace to be where I need to be.”
Falling in line with “Keisha,” “Type Of Time,” “It Was Written” and “30 N*ggaz,” the official video for “The Real is Back” can be seen below.
