We’re three months into the year, and we’ve only had one new project from Top Dawg Entertainment — SiR’s Her Too. (As I typed that out, I realized how greedy that sentence sounds.) That will most likely change this Friday, though, once Kendrick Lamar drops his new album — we assume. (The new “HUMBLE” single last week keeps the hopes strong.)

We were supposed to have a new SZA album by now, too, but CTRL has seen a couple days since it was originally supposed to arrive back in February. Still, she says it’s dropping “ridiculously soon.”

Top Dawg Entertainment’s CEO — Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith — took to Twitter over the weekend confirming that, in fact, his label plans to drop projects from four artists the remainder of the year.

In addition to SZA and King Kendrick, it seems we’ll get ScHoolboy Q’s second project in as many years and a new album from Jay Rock.
