With the Gorillaz, the visual experience has always been just as important as the audio experience. With their new album, Humanz, set to arrive April 28, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett are stepping the visuals surrounding the Gorillaz up another level.
Partnering with Sonos, there will be various “spirit houses” popping up in new York City, Berlin and Amsterdam in the weeks before and after the album release.
“Together, we’re creating an immersive audio visual experience called the Spirit House – a place where fans can go deeper into the band’s dark, fantasy world and be dazzled by spectacular visuals,” Sonos explained in a statement.
The “spirit houses” will be in NYC from April 21 to April 23, in Berlin from April 28 to April 30 and in Amsterdam on May 6. RSVP for the free event on Sonos’ website.
