Back in late 2015, NYC-reared artist wolftyla caught the DopeHouse’s attention with her single “feels.” A promising single culled from the same soundscape artists like Bryson Tiller, Jhené Aiko and PARTYNEXTDOOR employ in their own music, wolf — who starred in Tory Lanez’ video for “Say It” and may or may not be signed to Interscope Records — remained virtually silent ever since.
That is, until recently, when she released the single “You Ain’t S**t.” Keeping with the sound of “feels,” the song sounds like something right out of Ye Ali‘s Traphouse Jodeci sessions. Having worked with artists like PND, PnB Rock and Elle Varner, those experiences have likely shaped her own sound as well. Listen to it below.
