Over the past few weeks I’ve found myself nodding my head to the breakout single from rapper Tee Grizzley, “First Day Out.” A hyphy-sounding version of Meek Mill‘s “Dreams & Nightmares” (a bit ironic, considering Tee is from Detroit), it’s been one of my guilty pleasures of the year.
Tee, who has since signed to 300 Entertainment, has now released My Moment. A 13-track effort, Tee goes it alone throughout the project. On the album’s opening-slash-title track Tee takes it back to the high school cafeteria and makes a beat by banging on a table, snapping his fingers and harmonizing. Can’t say I’ve heard that as a song in recent memory. You may enjoy this project too, so stream it in its entirety below.
