In February, Just Blaze and Swizz Beatz treated fans to an epic, lengthy beat battle where everybody won. Since then, Just has been reaching out to other producers to participate, such as Alchemist and Mobb Deep’s Havoc.
Now, it appears that Just is trying to put together one of the easily most anticipated battles ever: Pharrell going up against fellow Virginian native Timbaland.
Taking to his social media, Just revealed that he recently spoke to Tim about it. “Just got off the phone with Timbaland. He said he’s down for Tim vs. Pharrell and they just talked about it. Wooooooo!” Just excitedly said.
But he didn’t leave the door closed on a possible beat battle with the other half of The Neptunes, Chad Hugo.
“Tim vs Neptunes would be the real deal,” he said. “If Chad Hugo showed up I might shed a tear.”
While Just continues to make this dream battle come true, it appears that Tim, Pharrell and Chad Hugo have reconnected for Justin Timberlake’s next album (Justified 2.0?)…
