Buzzing Windy City rapper Vonte has many fond memories of life growing up on the westside of Chicago, and for his latest visual, Vonte has decided to eliminate the need for a hook in order to get his point across.
Following the release of his 1 Time 4 Da Westside mixtape back in February, Von connects with director Ian Rennels for the official video for “No Hook.”
Says Vonte regarding the new video: “When I use to work in the Downtown Streeterville neighborhood. I would ride the red line every morning. I would witness brave souls come out daily to perform for the CTA riders. Man it was so inspiring. I’ve never been one to look down on anyone. No Hook is my way to show appreciation, give feedback, attention, & love to those who deserve recognition for their craft.”
