The second part of Netflix’ The Get Down debuted April 7th, but its accompanying soundtrack does not arrive until April 21st (pre-orders are available now. With offerings from Nas (“Angel Dust“) as well as the character Mylene Cruz, the rapping group of the show — The Get Down Brothers — have released a video for their single “Break The Locks.”
The throwback track (naturally, as the series is set in the late-70s, during the birth of hip hop) features the crew rapping, dancing, scratching and performing over Apache’s “Incredible Bongo Band.” Watch below.
