South Florida artist wifisfuneral, whose recent When Hell Falls project helped score him a deal with Interscope/Alamo Records, returns with “2 Step,” produced by the legendary 808 Mafia.
Naturally with 808 Mafia on the boards, the production is a bit quicker in tempo than what wifisfuneral typically handles, but he skates over the beat with confidence
“My growth is reflected in the fact that if you asked me if I would be doing this a year ago I’d say no,” Wifi told Pigeons & Planes, who premiered the single, about his recent success. “I’m blessed to even have people in Europe who know who I am or acknowledge my existence. I’m trying to put a really solid project out that universally everybody can listen to. I don’t want to box myself in. I don’t know what the pressure of making songs for a major label feels like. It feels like I’m doing the same things I was always doing but on a bigger level.”
