With the countdown for the new Gorillaz album, Humanz, under two weeks now, the promotion for the album rolls on. Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have ramped up the virtual reality aspect of their group as the technology has advanced over the last seven years since their last album.

After announcing a string of ‘Spirit Houses‘ over the course of the next couple weeks, which will bring Humanz to live on-screen, it was revealed the Gorillaz would host a Humanz House Party on an app that would allow for ““the largest ever geo specific listening experience bringing people together across 500 locations,” according to NME. The listening experience will happen the day Humanz drops — April 28.

Taking the virtual world another step further, the Gorillaz announced today the first live, on-camera interview with two of the band’s members, 2D and Murdoc, will be live-streamed on YouTube. The interview will be conducted by BBC Radio 1 DJ, MistaJam, and will take place this Thursday (April 20) at 10 a.m. EST.

Last week, we broke down the first five singles from Humanz, which is a party album for the end of the world.

UPDATE: Stream the interview live right now.
