Anik Khan has been on our radar since he released “Renegade” last summer. All the releases since then — “Cleopatra,” “Columbus” and “Habibi” — turned out to be the first samplings from his upcoming album, Kites, which is set to drop next week.
Readying the release with one more song, Khan shares the title track from his 10-track album. “Kites” is warm and bright, though the content delves into a diminishing relationship — one Khan wishes to be let go from so he can float away like a kite in the sky.
