Following a breakout 2016 in which she released her acclaimed debut project, A Good Night In The Ghetto, landed on multiple year-end lists and collaborated with the likes of E-40, YG and Drake, Oakland’s rising star Kamaiyah announced that she would release her next project Don’t Ever Get It Twisted on April 21st.
Unfortunately, she will not be dropping it on that day, and at the time of this piece it does not have a confirmed due date. However, Kamaiyah has unveiled the cover art for the project:
For the uninitiated, the cover draws inspiration from an Oakland legend: Huey P. Newton, political activist and revolutionary who co-founded the Black Panther Party along with Bobby Seale in 1966.
A single from Don’t Ever Get It Twisted is slated to arrive soon.
