The seasons have changed (and mad things have since rearranged, for better or worse, but mostly for the worse) since Wrekonize of ¡MAYDAY! last left us with the release of his Sunny Winter 2 EP last February.
With all that has transpired in the one-plus year timeframe since he released the EP, there’s an abundance of topics that the Miami emcee can dip into and explore on his upcoming album, Into The Further due out on May 5th.
In the video for “Nightmare (Yeah),” Wrek is jolted out of bed in a pool of cold sweat, with a steady stream of epinephrine pumping through his veins, scrambling to put food on his table as he watches his world crumble in front of him. Feeling “boxed in and trapped,” while the rest of the population is fixated on distractions from the media and dirty politrix, Wrek makes a mad dash, looking for an escape, only to find out it was all a dream. Or was it?
