Big Boi officially announced his new album, Boomiverse, last week with two singles: “Mic Jack” with Adam Levine and “Kill Jill” featuring Killer Mike and Jeezy.

The two songs sparked an excitement for Daddy Fat Sax’s third solo album since entering a hiatus with OutKast. That continues today as more details from the album were revealed via a listening party in New York City at the Electric Lady Studios Monday night.

According to Jayson Rodriguez, an employee of Vevo, Big Boi played the “first sack” of Boomiverse to a crowd, implying another “sack” — or, album — is locked and loaded. Rodriguez then detailed the specifics of what he heard.

First, Big Boi apparently has another song with Killer Mike, and Kurupt is on it, too. It’s called “Made Man.”

Rodriguez then confirmed a Gucci Mane feature, which Big Boi revealed on Zane Lowe’s radio show last week. That song is called “In The South” and is produced by Scott Storch.

Lastly, he said the whole project he heard — 12 songs — is co-produced by Organized Noize, mentioning the “Big Bang” concept Big Boi talked about with Lowe. The album is a return to the sound Big Boi, André 3000 and Organized Noize got famous with but with added modern influences.

Big Boi also said in the Lowe interview the two songs he released were meant to contrast each other, which adds to the double-album belief Rodriguez introduced.

While the album doesn’t have a release date just yet, Jimmy Fallon said the project will arrive “this summer” when introducing Big Boi during his show Monday night.

Summer or sooner, we’re hyped for whatever Big Boi has to offer.
