Nef The Pharaoh is releasing his The Chang Project this Friday. With singles “Spice” and “Back Out” with Ty Dolla $ign already in rotation, the Bay Area rapper drops one more song off before releasing the whole project, “Bling Blaow.”

Like “Spice,” “Bling Blaow” features Slimmy B of SOB x RXE. As apparent in the name of both the song and the album, the song revolves around flashiness and affluence.

“The title is the sound of diamonds shining in the dark,” Nef told The FADER, who premiered the song. “If they’re not real they’re not going to shine in low light. Real diamonds shine in any type of light. It also complements the nickname that was given to me, which is another onomatopoeia but for chains hitting each other: Chang Chang. … For artists who from the hood, jewelry is our token validation for making it. First thing you do when you get a check is get a grill or a chain. It takes pressure to make a diamond, and purchasing a diamond is physical proof that you can survive under pressure.”
