A recent LA Weekly article stated that Los Angeles-based hip hop is experiencing a renaissance, and it’d be hard to dispute that with so many promising up-and-comers. South Central’s RJ now hopes to be the next up from the West Coast.
A longtime affiliate of YG, RJ—who’s been making waves with his OMMIO mixtape series—announced that he is the first signee to YG and DJ Mustard’s joint imprint, 4Hunnid Summers. He will also release the first project from the label, RJMrLA, on May 26th.
RJ has also released the first single from RJMrLA, “Brackin’,” which is produced by DJ Mustard. It can be heard below.
