It’s been almost five months since Gucci Mane’s last project and that… feels like a long time, especially after dropping three albums and joint projects with Future and Lil Uzi Vert over the last seven months of 2016.
While Drop Top Wizop is still planned for next month, Gucci announced on Thursday he has a mixtape with Metro Boomin locked and loaded.
Since getting out of prison, which is when Metro Boomin began his meteoric rise, the pair have made songs like “Bling Blaww Burr,” “All Shooters” with Future and “Both” with Drake.
Gucci didn’t reveal a release date for the project, so this could drop at a dime, or it could eventually get the Ape Shit treatment. All Gucci said was, “Somebody dare me to drop this tape with Metro,” so, dare the man.
