Although we got our first glimpse of our DCEU Amazonian warrior in 2016’s polarizing film Batman v Superman, we’ll finally witness Diana Prince’s origin story, and her ultimate ascension to full-blown warrior of Themyscira in Wonder Woman.
The new trailer confirms our suspicions that the masked woman portrayed in earlier versions is indeed Doctor Poison (not that we had our doubts) and also sets up the film’s bigger villain, Ares, although careful not to reveal any plot-spoiling details, such as Ares’ final boss form (we’re looking at you, BvS and Doomsday).
Watch the trailer for the Patty Jenkins-helmed film—out June 2nd—starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), Robin Wright (General Antiope), David Thewlis (Ares), Danny Huston (General Erich Ludendorff), Elena Anaya (Doctor Poison) and Lucy Davis (Etta Candy) below.
Before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained warrior. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, she leaves home to fight a war to end all wars, discovering her full powers and true destiny.
