Jay Worthy – “Stepping Out” f. Sha Hef (prod. Alchemist)

After kicking off 2017 with a new LNDN DRGS project (below) and rocking alongside Larry June on the Chuck Inglish-laced “On Sight,” Jay Worthy is far from done and plans to ramp things up for the remaining half of the year.

On June 2nd, the Compton native will release a joint EP with The Alchemist called Fantasy Island. And today, the duo get things started with the project’s first single, “Stepping Out.”

“The collaboration with me and Alchemist came about when I was in Vancouver going to check out the homie Meyhem Lauren’s show. We were both in that city. He was playing with Action Bronson and Alc was DJ’ing,” Worthy tells Billboard. “So, after the show, I’m backstage and Alc approaches me and tells me he’s a fan and gave me props on my s–t. I was shocked to be honest that he knew who I was. So, from there, we chopped it up. We met back in L.A. and got to work.”
