David Banner – “Magnolia” f. CeeLo Green & Raheem DeVaughn

blame it on Shake May 16, 2017

It’s been a long time coming, but David Banner is finally releasing The God Box this Friday (May 19)!

After trading vicious rhymes with Black Thought on “Who Want It” last month, the Mississippi emcee/producer is joined by CeeLo Green and Raheem DeVaughn on the project’s intro, “Magnolia.”

“The song represents the relationship of trees in Mississippi and Africans throughout history.” Banner told hnhh. “The taller the tree, the broader the story, the shorter the tree, the more personal the perspective is. My verse is about the relationship of the magnolia tree and African’s during slavery.”

Check it out below and pre-order The God Box — which features past singles like “My Uzi” with Big K.R.I.T., “Marry Me” and “Black Fist” with Tito Lopez — on iTunes.
