In 2016 Troy Ave would be involved in a violent shooting at Manhattan’s Irving Plaza that left one man dead and Troy — as well as Taxstone — facing a litany of charges. While Troy has been out on bail (and, a little while later, free from house arrest) for a few months, he hasn’t left the past in the past, and lets loose a video for his NuPac single “I Ain’t Mad At Cha.”
The video arrives on the eve of the anniversary of the tragic shooting of Troy’s friend Banga. However, rather than pay a heartfelt tribute to his fallen friend Troy instead sends bars at former B$B colleagues Hovain and Young Lito and fellow Brooklynite Casanova over the same sample 2Pac used on his All Eyez On Me single.
Troy also announced another project, Style Free, which will see release on May 26th.
