Stream Cody ChesnuTT’s ‘My Love Divine Degree’ A Week Early

Cody ChesnuTT, the genre-blending artist guitarist/singer/producer from Atlanta, returns with My Love Divine Degree, his first album since 2012’s Landing On A Hundred. Slated to officially drop next week, ChesnuTT shared the album with NPR a week early.

Twilite Tone, a producer who’s worked with Kanye West and, most recently, with the Gorillaz on Humanz, co-produced My Love Divine Degree, which lands at 14 tracks with no features. ChesnuTT told NPR he met Tone at, of all places, a studio session with Kanye West and Bon Iver in Wisconsin (Justin Vernon’s home state).

“We discovered that we had a natural creative chemistry,” ChesNuTT said, and they proceeded to spend the next year-and-a-half making the album. “Both of us, being around during the ’70s and ’80s, knew exactly what the feeling/spirit of these songs should be and, without it ever being contentious or strained as some collabs can be, we always found the solutions.”
