I remember going to the book fair in second grade and buying new editions of Captain Underpants. Now I’m writing about a rapper making a song for the new animated Captain Underpants movie. This is my “I used to read Word Up magazine” moment. Kind of. Not really? Alright.
Well, the soundtrack for Captain Underpants — along with the movie — was released last night. Rap’s resident carefree young kid, Lil Yachty, makes an appearance on the 11-song soundtrack, which also features the likes of Weird Al Yankovic, Kevin Hart (he’s in the movie) and others, with “Oh Yeah.” The song has a simple trap beat as Lil Boat raps about being too cool for school. Keep getting them checks.
