It’s not a stretch to call Fabolous a legend in the making, at this point.

After it was announced in March 2017, Fab — née John David Jackson — was formally inducted into Brooklyn’s Celebrity Path Sunday, June 11th. A marker bearing the musician’s name was installed on the grounds of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, alongside icons such as Rosie Perez, Gregory Hines, Woody Allen, Jackie Gleason, Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond, among many others.

Influential artist and fellow Brooklynite artist Jean-Michel Basquiat was also inducted, posthumously.

Fabolous also, officially, received his key to the borough of Brooklyn during the ceremony as well.

“I feel honored to be inducted into Brooklyn’s own Celebrity Path and receive a key to the city,” Fabolous said earlier. “Along with the accolades and citation I was presented with from Borough President Eric L. Adams, I am grateful to be recognized by my hometown for my contributions and to receive the borough’s highest honors.”

This is amazing. Congrats to Fabolous.
