lojii and Swarvy revisit their DUE RENT album with a black-and-white video for the project’s title track.
Touched up by animator extraordinaire RUFF MERCY and directed by Anaka Morris, the video features lojii walking around Los Angeles with a “Will Rhyme 4 Rent” sign just trying to get the bills paid — as he often is on DUE RENT.
“I wanted to depict the backstory of the tape in a symbolic way,” lojii told PassionWeiss. “For those new to the project, the story is: I was short on rent one time, Swarvy loaned me money to cover it, then we decided to make a tape and slang it to make back the dough I owed him.”
