So Realistic – “Clarity” f. Melanie Rutherford (Video)

Flagstaff, Arizona-reared emcee So Realistic invites viewers to peer through his window of introspection in his latest video, appropriately titled “Clarity.”

The song, produced by TeamBackPack’s iLL Brown (who was responsible for the banger “Friends” with Freddie Gibbs and BJ the Chicago Kid, plus Billy Early‘s “Keep Frontin” featuring Skyzoo and Stik Figa) also features Pontiac, Michigan native Melanie Rutherford who supplies the song’s hook.

The video, beautifully shot and edited by Przemyslaw Mielniczuk (and with steadicam work by Maciej Mielniczuk) is entwined with images of his younger self and the man he is today, digging into the struggles which led him to where he is now, including regrets of letting other people “control his path” and eventually finding enlightenment through Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding while proudly wearing the number 7 (Godbody) on his badge.

“A lot of lost ones bragging ’bout their pocket stash / You can bargain all you want, but can’t buy class / Out in Tokyo, driftin’, letting the time pass / My mind weigh a ton, you not in my weight class.”
