Boom-bap connoisseur Confidence is no stranger to giving back to the culture. As a producer, the Boston-native has laced cuts for everyone from Boston stalwarts Edo G, G-Dot & Born, The Legion, 7 G.E.M.S. (Tragic Allies & Tragedy Khadafi and perhaps most famously producing the entirety of Rashad and Confidence’s The Element of Surprise (Yeah, whatever happened to that dude?!).
After launching his own beat-making school a few years ago, Confidence has now teamed up with fellow Massachusetts artist J. Ferra to present the first episode in The Big Dig challenge.
The two have created, The Big Dig. It’s a platform aimed at digging up unheard, gifted and capable emcees and producers. The flyer goes into specifics around episode one.
