Back in 2016 Fabolous and Jadakiss revealed to the delight of their fans that they would be releasing a joint project, Freddy Vs. Jason. However, since that announcement only one song has been released: “Rapture,” with Tory Lanez.

Speaking to VIBE in January, the two said that they were slowly but surely putting the project together. “It’s cooking, man. It’s coming,” Fabolous said. “I know this is the generation of the microwave.”

“But it’s in the burners on the stovetop,” Kiss added. “This the microwave era, but fortunately we using the old fashioned way. We using the top of the stove for this.”

Now, Fab suggests that Freddy Vs. Jason may have a due date: Halloween 2017 (October 31st).

“We’re just working really, man. We’re not rushing the process, for one. I didn’t really think it was a summer project, though,” he said to Billboard. “After we got passed winter, I was like, ‘This is not a summer project.’ This is one of those grime projects and we’re looking towards the fall again.

“Also, Halloween is coming around. That would be a cool little twist, too, but there’s no rush to it,” he continued. “We’re just taking our time and I think it’s something that people are going to take advantage of no matter when it comes. Of course, you don’t want to wait forever for it. We don’t want to Detox the situation, but we definitely don’t want to rush it and people be like, ‘Ugh. This is what you guys did after all that time. We’re gonna handle it though.”

Halloween is not that far away, guys.
