California, for some reason, isn’t considered as “tough” as some of its other major contemporaries. Sure, the pervasive gang culture has been a staple for eons, but the Golden State is often considered to be less harsh than the East Coast.
It’s not California’s fault that the weather is nearly perfect year-round.
Either way, Sacramento’s Mozzy, a goon in his own right, (literally) aims to convince listeners otherwise with “California N***a.” His first solo track following his collaborative project with Gunplay, Dreadlocks & Headshots, the song is about as gruff as one can expect from one of the state’s gruffest rappers out today.
