Watch the Official Trailer For Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’

blame it on JES7 July 1, 2017

Marvel Studios has had a shaky off-and-on relationship with one of their properties, Inhumans, which was initially slated for Phase 3 of their Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After its removal from the Phase 3 slate, Marvel Studios President (and a superhero in his own right) Kevin Feige continued toying with the idea, teasing that it was possible that the Inhuman Royal Family could appear in Phase 4 — citing conflicts with the Inhumans being introduced in the second season of Marvel TV/ABC’s Agents of SHIELD.

“Inhumans will happen for sure. I don’t know when. I think it’s happening on television. And I think as we get into Phase 4 as I’ve always said, it could happen as a movie,” Feige explained to Slash Film.

Eventually, Marvel TV, ABC and IMAX struck a deal to produce eight episodes — with the series’ first two episodes premiering “on more than 1,000 IMAX screens in over 74 countries, on September 1, 2017,” with a limited two week run, before airing all eight episodes on ABC on July 29th.

The series, shot in my home state of Hawai’i, serves as both the location for their home base, known as Attilan (shot in the Diamond Head crater) and the location where Inhuman leader Black Bolt is quickly teleported to by the dog known as Lockjaw.

Although officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s no word on if the show will eventually crossover with the films. One would hope and think, especially with Avengers: Infinity War arriving next year. Just think how amazing it would be to see the Illuminati in future films? We already have Iron Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain America, and now Black Bolt and Medusa.

Watch the first official trailer below — starring Anson Mount in the titular role of Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Black Bolt’s wife and Queen of Attilan; Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Ken Leung (Karnak), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Mike Moh (Triton) and Sonya Balmores (Auran).

P.S., you can’t do Black Bolt without his traditional mask!
