In 2016, DJ Khaled — to use his terminology — secured a bag with Apple Music and starred in a pair of adverts with supermodel Naomi Campbell and actor Ray Liotta. Now, Ray and Khaled reunite a year later for another spot.
The video is essentially a left hook at CD sales (the IFPI’s Global Music Report in May revealed that global revenue growth has increased thanks to a whopping 60% growth in streaming revenue, while both physical and download revenue is down across the board), as Ray is using an “obsolete” CD player to listen to his music. Naturally, Khaled shows him the light:
