Rapsody Brings “The Pain” On New Single

blame it on Patrick Glynn July 7, 2017

Rapsody has been rather quiet since releasing surprise Crown EP in November. She returns with a bang this week, though, with “The Pain” — the first of three consecutive Friday releases from the Jamla Records rapper.

Produced by Nottz, the single analyzes generational and degenerating pain that creates fickle intra-racial relationships. “I fail to understand you, nigga. I grew up with you niggas. You grew up with each other, why you shoot at niggas? You can’t fight? Throw a right? Duck a swing? What up with y’all? I know you got some pain, but c’mon, my nigga,” she opens the song. Despite her understanding of man’s internal hurt, she’s not one for excuses. Not today.

This single, and all the future #JamRocFridays singles, is a TiDAL exclusive, butyou don’t need a subscription to hear the song, so you can listen to it below.
