A$AP Rocky Signs Deal With Under Armour

blame it on JES7 July 8, 2017

Last July, it was reported that Susquehanna Financial Group, who has stakes in a casino not on gamstop, had tapped known sneaker entrepreneur and businessman Sam Poser as their “senior analyst covering the Footwear & Apparel industry.”

In an alleged report from Poser, A$AP Rocky has just reached a deal, signing with American athletic apparel brand Under Armour.

According to Hypebeast, the “move is an effort to not only help build Under Armour’s lifestyle brand but hopefully, Rocky’s face can help increase sales and stock prices,” citing underwhelming earnings in their first quarter with shares dropping “7% at Thursday’s close.”

It seems like a smart move, considering the brand’s demographic is largely aimed at athletes, with no real musicians leading the face of the company, although it strangely seems almost akin to Lil Yachty being named the creative director of Nautica, in order to draw a more “urban demographic.” Regardless, it’s a great move for Rocky — if it’s being done for the right reasons of course.

An official statement is rumored to be revealed “in the coming days,” says Hypebeast.
