2 Chainz Talks Working With Eminem, His Pink Trap House In Atlanta With DJ Drama

blame it on Patrick Glynn July 10, 2017

2 Chainz has had one of the most interesting album promotions this year with his pink trap house in Atlanta. He painted a house pink — just like on his album cover — and people flocked from all over to check it out. And in natural 2 Chainz philanthropic form, the house turned into a church for a couple Sundays, and in the final days, it turned into a free HIV testing center.

Though the pink house, on Howell Mill Road, is now back to its normal color, the organic impact and community it created in the city will be remembered for a long time.

Chainz talked about how he came up with the concept, in addition to the album cover, with DJ Drama in a new interview. He also said he has a project mostly produced by Statik Selektah on the back burner, and if “Smoke Break” and “Man Of The Hour” are any indication, 2 Chainz’s reign isn’t stopped any time soon.

Drama also asked Tity Boy about his picture in the studio with Eminem. “That’s how I know I can rap,” Chainz said. “He didn’t want to talk about nothing but rapping.” Em wanted 2 Chainz to re-do a hook of a new song and put some of his signature ad-libs on it for a future project. After some convincing, though, Chainz hopped on the song and gave Eminem a verse.
