During his 4 Your Eyez Only Tour stop in Anaheim, CA, Cole revealed that the beat for “Neighbors” — the song which described when the studio Cole had rented was raided by a SWAT team, after complaints from (white) neighbors thinking that the residence was instead being used as a trap house (because, Black people kept coming in and out of it) — was previously used for “Forbidden Fruit,” Cole’s 2013 Born Sinner track with Kendrick Lamar… but in reverse.
