Chris Rivers Drops ‘Delorean’ Album with Styles P, Jarren Benton, More

Chris Rivers has come along way since molting out of his “Baby Pun” alias, with a much more mature sound — yet the silver tongue lyricist has managed to keep the legacy of his father, Big Pun very much alive.

After numerous mixtapes, including 2013’s Wonderland and its sequel, Chris has released his new album, Delorean.

“It’s the first project I’m actually proud of,” Rivers shared on Instagram. “For years I’ve felt unsure and voiceless either doing what I felt was expected of me or told and never really making the music and speaking the words that felt true to myself. This was due to uncertainties and what I felt was the lack of skill and experience to properly convey who I was musically. I want to stress how important it is to know yourself. To take the time to embrace who you are with every nuance, strength and weakness, perfection and flaw and to truly understand who you are. This is a life time journey but I feel like this project is the start of me coming into my own and ultimately achieving peace and happiness within my soul. I’m so happy to give ya this.”

Arriving at 21-tracks in length — including “DASAFAC” and “Lord Knows” — with various interludes sprinkled throughout, Delorean also finds Lil Fame, Sheek Louch and Styles P assisting on “Fair One,” a feature from Jarren Benton and a pair of songs featuring Oswin Benjamin.
