Tuxedo Bring The Funk To NPR’s Tiny Desk

Tuxedo have been the definition of consistency over the last three years. Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One released Tuxedo II in March, and it’s just as funky and lively as the first. Supporting the album on tour around the world this year, they stopped by NPR’s offices in Washington, D.C., to bring the funk to their Tiny Desk setting.

The pair, backed by a singer, guitarist and pianist, kicked things off with “Do It,” one of the band’s first singles. Then they visited their recently released project with “Second Time Around” and “July.” Obviously toned down from the usual tour setting, you can watch the still-lively performance below.
