The battle of the two giant comic-book movie franchises continues as Comic-Con comes to a close today.
Despite the fan fiction internet trolls like to fantasize about on social media, there’s no “beef” between Warner Bros/DC Entertainment and Marvel Studios, proven time and time again with actors, directors and studio heads from each side praising each other’s respective films, albeit there will always be some friendly competition.
Following the Warner Bros. unveiling of the new Justice League trailer, it was Marvel Studios’ turn to takeover Hall H.
Aside from showing off a teaser for the upcoming Infinity War (if you really must see it in all its shitty, angled glory, you can find it on YouTube somehow), Marvel held their Thor: Ragnarok panel, including director Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban and more (check out the entire panel below).
During the presentation, Marvel premiered the official first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, packed with a richer, brighter-colored palette; clever nods to 80’s science fiction films, Taika’s trademark humor, epic clips of Hulk battling Fenris Wolf and Surtur and that road-trip adventure between our two heroes that we’ve all been waiting for.
Watch the trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, which arrives in theaters on Nov. 3rd below.
