Meet Nanna•B, a soulful songstress from Copenhagen, Denmark, who is making her DopeHouse debut with her quickstrike, genre-bending Golden EP.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of D’Angelo, Alice Coltrane and Joan “Joni” Mitchell, Nanna·B has been maneuvering through the L.A. underground, captivating the ears of Anderson .Paak, Iman Omari, Mndsgn, and others with her take on R&B, soul and electronic music
Looking to reach a larger audience and capitalize on the relationships she’s made over time, Nanna releases her Golden EP with help from .Paak and Hodgy of OF fame.
“The project is basically about the many shades of love and lust,” Nanna.B explains. “It’s inspired by different relationships but could pretty much describe one from the meeting and establishment of common grounds on ‘Golden’ to the all-consuming passion on ‘Apocalyptic Love,’ the ‘now I need my space and I got shit to do’ vibes on ‘Steady Line’ to the call for universal love energy on ‘Antidote.'”
